I’m Tree Baker, an artist and maker creating small, handmade pieces inspired by the coast, island life, and the quiet magic found in ordinary days.

 

My work is shaped by time spent living and working around Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly — places where boats bob patiently, puffins gossip on cliffs, and light changes by the minute. These landscapes, stories, and rhythms find their way into everything I make, from painted ornaments and paper creations to illustrated keepsakes and small works of art.

 

Each piece begins slowly, in my studio, and is made by hand using paint, paper, clay, and found materials. No two are ever quite the same. I’m drawn to work that feels a little nostalgic, a little whimsical — objects that look as though they might belong on a shelf in a curiosity cabinet or have wandered out of a storybook.

 

Alongside my website, my work is stocked by a small number of independent shops and galleries on the Isles of Scilly. I also create limited wholesale collections and licensed designs, always made with the same care and attention as my one-of-a-kind studio pieces.

 

I believe art doesn’t need to shout to be noticed. Sometimes the most meaningful pieces are the ones you discover quietly — the ones that make you smile, remind you of a place you love, or hold a small memory.
