Bryher The Puffin.
This cheerful papier‑mâché puffin towers about eight inches high and has a big, characterful presence. Crafted by layering and shaping paper pulp, his rotund body is painted in bold black and white with a glossy shiny finish. A huge curved beak, banded with sunset oranges, reds and teal blues, gives him a distinctive profile, and his half‑closed eyes and rosy cheeks make him look as if he’s quietly content after a day by the sea. Outstretched wings add to the sense of movement, while a stubby black tail anchors him firmly on your shelf or mantel.
He feels both sculptural and playful, like something that’s wandered out cliff side nest or seaside folk tale. Display him on his own as a statement piece, or let him tower over your smaller clay puffins like a kindly giant.
I can add a hanging twine if you prefer to let him fly, just let me know
